Head Up Display Video

After having been burned last time, what can I definitely say about this video?

The pilot reports "working".

The pilot reports being "hot" (na boyevom) before rockets are apparently launched.

I think the bitching betty announces "limit of angle of attack" after pulling up.

I've never seen Russian HUD video before.

The title of this video is "Employment of the Su-25 in South Ossetia".

I'll never learn, will I?

Actually, in this case, the footage is quite likely real HUD tape from Su-25SM (upgrade to Su-25) over Georgia/SO.

the first thing bitching betty says is "predel'nyi ugol ataki" which warns of max AoA. the second time she says "predel'naia peregruzka" which warns of max G load.

There are lots of landmarks (mountains and distinctive streams) that may be recognizble to those familiar with South Ossetan terrain. Would be nice to authenticate this vid.

My best attempt with the audio:

0:07: Pilot "40...I'm wotking (it)"
0:11: Radio unintelligble
0:12: Pilot "7"
0:13: Pilot unintelligble
0:14: Pilot "engaging"
0:35: Warning "limit of angle of attack" twice
0:38: Pilot unintellible
0:44: Warning "limit of angle of attack, limit of load (g force)"
0:44: Pilot "look" (sounded like 'smatrii')
0:51: Warning tone for launch of rockets
0:58: Warning "limit of angle of attack"

The next few seconds appear to be spliced in from another sequence. There are also splices at 00:05, 00:36, 00:47. The pilot's voice seems different in the next splice.

0:59: Radio transmission "what is your position" (sounded like "gdae ti stoyish"
01:01: Pilot "I'm waiting..." unitelligble..."I'm primary"...unintelligble" rest unintelligle (sounded like "ya zhdu..ya osnavnoy..."
